Unfamiliar Familiar

unknown places
looking for known faces
boulevard of buildings
glitterati around
chaiwala at the corner
the constant honking
buzz of people
familiarity in the unfamiliarity
as I walk down the aisle
from pole to post
eyes constantly wandering
in search of something
yet nothing
lost in the moment
like a free soul
growing unaware of things
as I drift along
I hear a shout
snap!
screeching, piercing
like a crack in a glass (it may seem)
the moment is broken
even I break, into a smile
She is 30 mins late
but I am happy to see her face
unknown places
and known faces
always!!!
make me happy.
